The Body Varial is maneuver where the skater jumps up and rotates his body 180° without the board rotating. Body Varials can be done rolling, to change from Toeside Railstand to Heelside Railstand, during Kickflips and many footwork tricks. Possibilities are endless and variations go as far as 540 or even 720 Body Varials.
The name Body Varial most likely comes from back in the day when flatland skateboarders called Shove-Its Varials. Since the body does the same kind of rotation as the board they simply called it Body Varial.
