The primary purpose of the WFSA (World Freestyle Skateboard Association) was to promote contest activity and participation. Additional functions, goals, activities, and "special features" of WFSA are designed to allow the association to be a positive, innovative, flexible, and responsive service organization.
In May 2014 Stefan "Lillis" Akesson resigned as the president of the WFSA and the web site was suspended sometime in early 2016.
On April 30th 2016, Denis Sopovic announced that the WFSA website was back online after a long battle with their hosting company.
