An "ollie impossible" involves the vertical 360-degree rotation of the board around the skater's back foot. Some variations wrap around the front foot as well. This trick was invented by Rodney Mullen in 1982, who shared the idea of this trick with some of his older friends who believed the trick to be "impossible", hence the name.
