    Start with your left (front) foot lined up along the left side (outside edge) of the board and with your right (back) foot hanging about halfway off of the right side (inside edge) of the board, over the rear wheels.

    Start with your right (front) foot lined up along the right side (outside edge) of the board and with your left (back) foot hanging about halfway off of the left side (inside edge) of the board, over the rear wheels.

    Bend your knees a bit and then push down with your left (front) foot, and at the same time, with your right (back) foot, pull back and guide the board to rail while rolling the foot forward to meet the rear wheel.
