A Backward Toeside Rail to Rail is a rail maneuver where you start in a Toeside Railstand and then flip the board backwards 1/2 flip and land in a Heelside Railstand. This trick takes a little confidence since you can be a little blind when flipping the board behind you, but it is no different than any other trick; You have to commit to it and believe the board will be where it needs to be, when you go to land it.

Step-By-Step

Regular Goofy
Figure 01
Start off in a Toeside Railstand. Unlike the Forward Toeside Rail to Rail, you'll be using your front (left) foot to initiate the flip backwards. The ball of your front (left) foot should be resting on the rail. Slightly bend your legs and transfer your weight over to your front (left) leg.

Tips

  1. High Profile Trucks will give you better stability for Railstands.
  2. Offset Wheels are also a must for Rail Tricks. They will protect your axles and give you better stability. For a list of freestyle wheels see List of Freestyle Wheels or Wheels.
