Nose and Tail of a symmetrical freestyle board

The tail is the part of the board, opposite the Nose, where your rear foot is normally positioned.

The Nose and Tail of a symmetrical Double Kick deck (like the ones picture above) are the same at both ends, so it doesn't matter which way the deck is pointing, unless you have your front truck tuned differently than the back. Single Kick decks, however, usually have a flat (or rocker) nose with a Kicktail on the Tail.
