The basic version of a Shove-it is where you shove the board with your back foot on the tail to where the board turns 180 degrees Backside in the air without touching the tail on the ground. There are many variations of the Shove-It including nose Shove-Its and multiple rotations up to 720 degrees. To most freestylers, a Shove-It would refer to a nose Shove-It and a street skater would normally think of one as a tail Shove-It.
