A Forward Toeside Rail to Rail is a rail maneuver where you start in a Toeside Railstand and then flip the board forward 1/2 Axis Rotation and land in a Heelside Railstand.

Figure 01Start off in a Toeside Railstand. Put your front (left) foot directly over the front wheel. Point the toes of your rear (right) foot diagonal toward the tail. You will be using your rear (right) foot to set the board in motion, using the curve of the tail to flip the board.

Figure 02Bend your legs slightly, then hop up and forward a bit while applying downward pressure (preloading) and push forward with your back (right) foot. At the same time, lift your front (left) foot up off of the rail to release the board. The feels a little like you are rolling the board under your foot.

Figure 05Come down and catch the board in Heelside Rail. The tail may end up landing more forward than the nose but this is pretty common. The angle will lessen as you get a better feel for it.
